Challenge to liberals and conservatives

Posted by

Doorbelling in my neighborhood, I’ve observed that  some liberals are shocked that I am supporting conservative candidates. I’m shocked that they are shocked! I think it’s time for liberals and conservatives to share why they think the way they do. We all want what’s is best for the county–that we can agree upon. We differ on  the ‘how’ and it’s  a function of our  information sources.

My guess is that  liberals listen to NPR and MSNBC. They might ‘like’ liberal pages on Facebook. They read blogs such as the Huffington Post , the Daily KOS and Media Matters. They read newspapers such as The New York Times.

My guess is that conservatives listen to KTTH and Foxnews. They might ‘like’ conservative pages on Facebook. They read blogs like Hot Air, The Weekly Standard, and Powerline.  They might read the Wall Street Journal.

The challenge to myself and anyone else who cares to join me is to spend 1/2 hour a day examining differing opinions.  We may learn something and sharpen our reasoning skills.
