Why conservatives eschew the ‘birther’ issue

The New American criticized the conservative alternate media for not persuing the issue of President Obama’s birthplace, in a May 18, 2012 article, New Evidence that Obama Was Born in Kenya is Explained Away.

Most conservatives try to distance themselves from the question of Obama’s birthplace, not because they think he was born in the US, but because they are convinced that raising the birth issue is not helpful to their political ends; they don’t want to be perceived as nutjobs. They won’t re-raise the Reverend Wright issue this campaign either, for the same reason. Read more »

It is time to change Shoreline’s idea of open government

Authorized Personnel Only

This intimidating sign is posted just outside a short hallway near the restrooms on the first floor of the City of Shoreline’s City Hall at 175th and Midvale. The hallway leads to a rather unassuming conference room where most of the City Council’s ‘dinner meetings’ are held. It is a typical conference room with a big table, seating perhaps 16, and a few side chairs along the walls. These meetings are informal affairs, where actual conversations take place and genuine ideas are born. And yet, despite the insinuation of this sign’s message, dinner meetings (with a few exceptions) are open to the public. Read more »

Senatorial Candidate Forum: May 17th

Posted by

Do you feel the country has been on the right track?  If not, do you believe we need to make some personnel changes in the Senate as well as the White House?

Dr. Art Coday and State Sen. Michael Baumgartner are the Republican contenders challenging Sen. Maria Cantwell.  Which one of these gentlemen is best prepared to successfully challenge Maria Cantwell, and how will you be certain which to vote for in the primary?

The Shoreline Caucus is holding a Senatorial Candidate Forum on Thursday, May 17th.  You are invited to join us, and make your own decision about the best candidate for this job.

Location:

The Innis Arden Clubhouse
1430 N.W. 188th
Shoreline, WA 98177

Time:

6:30 PM – Refreshments
7:00 PM – Program begins

The 2012 election is widely considered to be one of the most pivotal elections of most peoples’ lifetime, and decisions about who to support must be carefully considered.  Please take a couple of interesting hours to learn about these senatorial candidates, one of whom you’ll be voting for in November.

Further, we’d like to know what questions you’d like these candidates to address.  Please send your questions to info@shorelinecaucus.com, and we will have the forum’s moderator direct the questions to the candidates.

Video: What a history lesson can do for an Occupier

Posted by

Be sure to watch the video from Hotair:
The irony here, of course, is that the history lesson of democracy gets delivered by a former refugee from the former Soviet Union, but the history lesson doesn’t just end with the USA. One young man tried to pass an “Occupy Wall Street Journal” to two men observing the protests, and ended up gaining an education in history, politics, economics, and statecraft. Give the young Occupier credit, as Joe Schoffstall says — he was at least willing to listen.
Our group has its own refugee, Eva, who escaped from communist Hungary during the revolution of 1956. She is equally well informed and grateful for capitalism.  Here’s her story: Read more »

Tax loophole paying out billions to illegal aliens

Millions of illegal immigrants are getting a bigger tax refund than you. Eyewitness News shows a massive tax loophole that provides billions of dollars in tax credits to undocumented workers and, in many cases, people who have never stepped foot in the United States. And you are paying for it!

Although ACORN has been apparently disbanded and regrouped under different names, knowing their (and Obama’s) involvement in voter fraud is timely during this election year.

This very bright, brave lady came out of the ACORN/OBAMA induced stupor after discovering the deceit and duplicity of the radical left.  Please take time to watch this 2 part talk.  Without a Teleprompter, Anita crammed in all the information sane Americans should need to take the country back from the THIEVES who have stolen it.  (The last 4 minutes on the second video is priceless…..)  H/T Frieda!
