Reasons I Support Rick Santorum for President

Posted by

I fully support Rick Santorum for president.  He is a trustworthy conservative with strong leadership skills.  He has the knowledge base, experience, and proven ability to get things done while working with people of various political ideologies.  He is passionate about his love for America and understands the critical nature of our place in history at this time.

I do not believe there is any other candidate who is as committed to the repeal of Obamacare.  With Santorum, the need to repeal Obamacare is not simply academic—it is heartfelt, and it drives him.  He rightly has described it as “the number one threat to liberty in our country”, and has said it was the reason he entered the presidential race.  Having a daughter with Trisomy 18, he has personal experience with the world of special needs and insight into the devastation socialized medicine would bring on the care of special needs individuals.  I have no doubt he will fight for the most frail among us and for liberty for all. The Conservative Alternative to President Obama

The 2012 elections offer us the opportunity to reverse the radical Obama agenda, and to put our nation back on a course towards job creation, economic prosperity, and balanced budgets. And for the first time in many years, the State of Washington will have a vital role to play in the presidential selection process.

PROVEN LEADERSHIP – REAGAN CONSERVATIVE

I endorse Newt Gingrich for president, and will be caucusing for Newt on Saturday March 3 at the precinct caucuses. Newt Gingrich has a proven record of effective conservative leadership and accomplishment – exactly what our nation needs. We can’t allow the liberal media to decide our candidate; the stakes are too high. America can’t afford a second Obama term – we can’t have him making the Supreme Court nominations through January 2017. To increase the chances of winning against Obama, we must nominate a true Reagan conservative. Read more »

Newt:Leader for the 21st Century

Newt Gingrich has spent his entire life making America a better place. No one is as qualified as he to steer our country through these uncertain times.

In 1981, Newt pushed for passage of the Kemp Roth tax reform bill that launched Reaganomics. Later, Newt set out to elect a Republican majority in congress. After a decade of consensus building, he wrote The Contract with America and asked candidates to sign. His Conservative Opportunity Society worked tirelessly to elect every candidate who signed the contract. In 1994 Republicans were swept into a majority in the House for the first time in 44 years. During his first 100 days as Speaker they accomplished something that has never been done before or since; they voted on all 10 planks of the contract. Working around the clock they passed a balanced budget amendment, strong crime prevention reforms, welfare reform, security reforms to prevent US troops from being required to serve under the UN command, tort reform, massive tax reform including indexing tax brackets for inflation, removing the marriage penalty and providing the first child tax credit. They proposed, but did not pass, term limits on members of congress. Read more »

The case for Mitt Romney

The first and most important reason I support Mitt Romney for president is he is a former Governor and his opponents have none of this “unique” experience on their resumes. The salient point of having a governorship in your history is that of being the CEO of a state or in other words, that place where the buck ultimately stops. There are and have been good governors and bad governors and among even the best governors, what I perceive as mistakes or errors inevitably happen. One cannot be all things to all people all the time and if a governor has true character he will learn from his errors and grow accordingly so to recognize future pitfalls. Read more »

Mitt Romney

Last night I wept bitterly about how the Democrats have taken over the GOP in selecting our presidential candidate. For us the only candidate who can beat Obama is Mitt.

Republicans paved the way for Obama to win the ‘08 elections. If the GOP had elected Mitt, Obama could not have won the election. Romney is more conservative than President Reagan before he became a Republican but people are saying Romney is not conservative enough to be our candidate for presidency (Sarah Palin thank you very much for destroying GOP). Rick Santorum

Why I Pick Rick

I’m looking for a candidate who shares the traditional values of being Pro-Life, Pro-Constitution, Pro-God…and Anti-Obama. Although all four of the Republican candidates also hold these values, some candidates are not as passionate about them, and it can be argued that some have flip-flopped so much that it’s hard to believe exactly where they stand. For example, we have two candidates who both went against the Constitution by previously promoting cap and trade, TARP, and the individual health care mandate.  And a third candidate who shies away from promoting Life and God, because he calls talking about social issues a “losing position.” That brings us to the fourth candidate – Rick Santorum. Ron Paul is typically consistent and intelligent in his core values and political concepts.  The bottom line – if you want to get the government out of our private lives – if you want the government to stop controlling us – if you want to cut government regulation – Ron Paul is the only candidate who is consistent in applying these fundamental genuinely conservative concepts as opposed to simply cherry-picking to fit his preconceived religious ideology and simply using conservative concepts for personal political gain, power and control. Welcome to the Presidential Debates!

Posted by

The Shoreline Caucus held a straw poll at February’s meeting, and some members replied to news of the results with notes of strong concern that those voting in the straw poll didn’t see it their way, the majority voting instead for Rick Santorum.

This gave us an idea – we would like to host a virtual debate for the presidential nominee.  Simply write a paper, 650 words or less, and submit it to the Shoreline Caucus at “debate@shorelinecaucus.com“.  We will post your papers by category “President Candidates” (see left side panel), and you can express your views for all the world to see.   This is especially important in advance of the Precinct Caucuses coming up in two weeks on March 3rd, because we will be electing delegates at those caucuses, some of whom will ultimately end up at the national convention voting for the party’s presidential nominee.
