Agenda 21 (aka ‘Sustainable Development’ aka ‘Smart Growth’)
It may sound good, but it isn’t. It’s neither liberal nor conservative, but about constitutional rights (including private property rights) being usurped by UN policies supported by both Bushes, Clinton and Obama. It has embedded itself locally as ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) and is firmly entrenched in local government including the City of Shoreline. In 2003, the City paid $500,000 for a ‘comprehensive plan’.
Agenda 21 is the framework for a completely new paradigm in the 21st Century. It is the outcome of the 1992 United Nation’s Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. It outlines in detail the UN’s vision for a centrally managed global society. You don’t have to worry about your future because Agenda 21 has a plan for how you will live, where you will live, how you commute, what you will eat, what you will learn.
Agenda 21: This global contract binds all nations to the collective vision of “sustainable development.” They must commit to pursue the three E’s of “sustainability”: Environment, Economy and Equity referring to the UN blueprint for environmental regulations, economic manipulation, and social equity.
These have been added to my ‘favorites’ and I thought I’d share:

Democrats against UN Agenda 21
We are registered Democrats, life-long, who have become aware of the United Nations Agenda 21 negative impacts on our local, regional, and national government.
We are civil rights advocates, pro-choice, and pro-gay marriage, who until recently considered ourselves ‘progressive Democrats.’ We are university educated, middle income professionals who seek to make common cause with others in the United States who share our concerns.
